Job Description

Wolfe GMC Buick in the west end of Edmonton is looking for dealership experienced Product Specialists/ Sales Consultants for our Sales Team. We’re confident in the vehicles we sell! We are looking for experienced product advisors to join our team! If you're a customer-oriented individual and ready to kick start your career, we’re ready to invest in your future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Approach, greet and offer assistance or direction to any guests whether online or in-person.
  • Assist guests in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits to guests.
  • Build strong rapport with guests.
  • Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of vehicles.
  • Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards and process.
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create and foster relationships with customers on the grounds of integrity, professionalism and honesty. Must have the ability to listen and ask appropriate questions to ensure the customer’s needs are met.
  • Comfortable with compensation based on commission sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Time management skills to be able to prioritize activities, especially when there is a high volume of tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude for greeting customers and clients in a friendly and warm manner upon arrival to the office or through the phone.
  • Communication skills to be able to communicate with internal team members or clients and understand their needs .
  • Administrative skills to be able to use basic functions within Microsoft office word.
  • Flexibility to be able to move between activities and duties quickly if priorities change.

Heavy Equipment Technician

To support the on-going growth of Wolfe Automotive Group, Wolfe GMC Buick is currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, safety-oriented, and hands on Heavy Equipment Technician. This position would be suitable for a candidate in their 3rd or 4th year of their heavy equipment apprenticeship or a journeyman red seal heavy equipment technician, or a dual ticketed technician.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpret work orders and address repairs as indicated
  • Remain up-to-date on current trends in industry-relevant technology
  • Conduct inspections as per preventative maintenance schedules and safety checks
  • Perform repairs and designated preventative maintenance services
  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, gearboxes, cooling systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, exhaust, brakes, suspension, etc.
  • Complete all necessary administrative paperwork such as inspection forms, work orders, parts/inventory requisition forms, and equipment/vehicle logbooks
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety rules and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3rd or 4th year apprentice or journeyman red seal ticket holder
  • Possess a valid Alberta Driver's License (Air Endorsement Preferred)
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Think logically and display strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, safe work practices and work procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills

POSITION SUMMARY

You will play a crucial role in the customer experience by conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements, provide accurate repair recommendations and complete the repairs to keep the customer and their family safe. Additionally, you can mentor, coach, and train apprentices within the dealership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolved them in a timely manner.
  • Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components.
  • Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts to determine how to address problems.
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of light to medium-duty vehicles
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Estimate parts and labor costs.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • Test and adjust units to specifications.
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diesel and transmission repair experience would be considered an asset.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses.
  • Professional demeanour and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and using power and hand-held equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
