The Elevation Edition incorporates color-coordinated door handles, bumpers and a grille surround in order to provide a bold, monochromatic look. An 8-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System, which incorporates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, is standard on Sierra Elevation, along with a six-speaker audio system. A premium GMC Infotainment System, which incorporates a higher resolution touchscreen, voice recognition functionality and available in-vehicle apps, is optional.

A built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is integrated into Sierra Elevation, allowing up to seven mobile devices to connect within 50 feet of the truck. Owners can also keep tabs on their vehicle and leverage their smartphone as a remote key fob via the myGMC smartphone app.

Next-Generation Powertrain

The Sierra 1500 Elevation Edition is available with several new engine and transmission configurations that deliver the perfect blend of power and efficiency.

The Elevation comes standard with a 2.7-liter turbo engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. GMC’s next-generation 5.3-liter V-8 is also available on Sierra Elevation, in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This improved version of the 5.3-liter V-8 utilizes a new Dynamic Fuel Management system, which enables the engine to operate on anywhere from one to eight cylinders, depending on demand, in order to optimize power and efficiency. Later in 2020, the Sierra Elevation will also be offered with a new 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six-cylinder engine, along with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
